Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Venezia by Sorel Etrog was sold in the First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in December 2018. It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,183.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sorel Etrog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Group in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Venezia von Sorel Etrog wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.183,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sorel Etrog erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family Group im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15).
