In March 2018 Sothebys in Online held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Venezia, 1967 by Sorel Etrog. The auction ended at the price of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,740.26), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sorel Etrog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Group in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Online die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venezia, 1967 von Sorel Etrog zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.740,26) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sorel Etrog erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family Group im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15).
