The work Ohne Titel, um 1931 by Sophie Taeuber-Arp was sold in the Swiss Art auction at Christies in Zurich in May 2013. Here, the upper estimate of CHF 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CHF 54,000.00 (€ 43,385.43). Admittedly, works by Sophie Taeuber-Arp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 218,725.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ohne Titel, um 1931 von Sophie Taeuber-Arp wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Swiss Art bei Christies in Zürich versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CHF 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CHF 54.000,00 (€ 43.385,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sophie Taeuber-Arp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 218.725,28).
