The work Untitled, from Patuá series by Sonia Gomes was worth USD 75,000.00 (€ 64,923.82) to a buyer in October 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sonia Gomes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sem título from the series Torção sold at auction in March 2021 with the realized price of USD 138,600.00 (€ 118,027.76).
