Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled from the series Risco do Tempo by Sonia Gomes. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,883.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sonia Gomes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sem título from the series Torção in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 118,027.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled from the series Risco do Tempo von Sonia Gomes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.883,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sonia Gomes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sem título from the series Torção im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 118.027,76).
