The work Seven-character Poem in Running Script by Song Xiang was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,817.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Xiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).

Die Arbeit Seven-character Poem in Running Script von Song Xiang wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.817,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Xiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96) versteigert wurde.
