Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running Script Calligraphy by Song Xiang was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,705.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Song Xiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy von Song Xiang wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.705,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Xiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96).
