Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running Script Calligraphic Couplet by Song Xiang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 3,046.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Song Xiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphic Couplet von Song Xiang kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 3.046,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Xiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96).
