Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Song Xiang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 1,537.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Xiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Song Xiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 1.537,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Xiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96).
