The work Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Song Xiang was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 66,000.00 (€ 6,873.11), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Xiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 204,000.00 (€ 19,424.96).

Die Arbeit Running Cursive Script Calligraphy von Song Xiang wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 6.873,11) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Xiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Running Cursive Script beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 204.000,00 (€ 19.424,96) versteigert wurde.
