This artwork by Song Meiling achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Rooster sold for HKD 207,000.00 (€ 19,643.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Meiling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Misty Mountains, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,066.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Meiling erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Rooster für HKD 207.000,00 (€ 19.643,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Meiling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Misty Mountains beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.066,06) versteigert wurde.
