The work Boating by Song Meiling was worth HKD 325,000.00 (€ 39,603.42) to a buyer in November 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Song Meiling; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Misty Mountains sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,066.06).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Song Meiling; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Misty Mountains im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.066,06).
