Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape by Song Meiling was worth HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,132.32) to a buyer in May 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Meiling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Misty Mountains, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,066.06).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Meiling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Misty Mountains beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.066,06) versteigert wurde.
