Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Envelope by Song Meiling was sold in the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 12,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,594.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Meiling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Misty Mountains in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,066.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Envelope von Song Meiling wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.594,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Meiling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Misty Mountains im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.066,06).
