In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Still Breathing by Song Dong. The auction ended at the price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 22,363.66), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Song Dong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 126,488.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Breathing von Song Dong zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 22.363,66) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Dong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 126.488,82).
