This artwork by Song Dong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Writing Diary With Water sold for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 43,386.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Dong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stamping On Water (Set Of 36), which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 126,488.82).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Dong erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Writing Diary With Water für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 43.386,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Dong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 126.488,82) versteigert wurde.
