Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Burning Mirror by Song Dong for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,950.97). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 160,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Song Dong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 126,488.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Burning Mirror von Song Dong für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.950,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 160.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Dong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 126.488,82).
