Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stamping the Water by Song Dong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The price achieved of HKD 680,000.00 (€ 62,098.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 550,000.00 – 750,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Dong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stamping On Water (Set Of 36), which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 126,488.82).

Die Arbeit Stamping the Water von Song Dong kam im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 680.000,00 (€ 62.098,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 550.000,00 – 750.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Dong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 126.488,82) versteigert wurde.
