Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sohan Qadri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 25,200.00 (€ 22,717.03) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sohan Qadri; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sohan Qadri erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 25.200,00 (€ 22.717,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sohan Qadri; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27).
