Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sohan Qadri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2021. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Rasping Note sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,966.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sohan Qadri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sohan Qadri erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Rasping Note für USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.966,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sohan Qadri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27) versteigert wurde.
