Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sohan Qadri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,173.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sohan Qadri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sohan Qadri erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.173,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sohan Qadri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27) versteigert wurde.
