Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Sohan Qadri. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,887.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sohan Qadri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sohan Qadri zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.887,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sohan Qadri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27) versteigert wurde.
