Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Ugrajyoti by Sohan Qadri. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,071.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sohan Qadri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ugrajyoti von Sohan Qadri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.071,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sohan Qadri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27) versteigert wurde.
