Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition by Sofu Teshigahara was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 687.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sofu Teshigahara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition von Sofu Teshigahara im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 687,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sofu Teshigahara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93).
