Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Spinner by William Reid Dick was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,708.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Reid Dick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sir Winston Churchill in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 28,100.00 (€ 36,753.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Spinner von William Reid Dick kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.708,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Reid Dick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.100,00 (€ 36.753,70).
