The price achieved of EUR 3,700.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Reid Dick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sir Winston Churchill in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 28,100.00 (€ 36,753.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Slingshot Boy. von William Reid Dick kam im Dezember 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.700,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Reid Dick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.100,00 (€ 36.753,70).
