It achieved a price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,760.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Admittedly, works by William Reid Dick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sir Winston Churchill in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 28,100.00 (€ 36,753.70).

Die Arbeit Dawn von William Reid Dick wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.760,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Reid Dick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.100,00 (€ 36.753,70).
