Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Male Form, which included the work A bronze figure of 'The Catapult' or 'Slingshot Boy', by William Reid Dick. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,885.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Reid Dick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sir Winston Churchill, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 28,100.00 (€ 36,753.70).
