Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Orpen could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The B.J. Eastwood Collection: Important Sporting and Irish Pictures auction, the work The Artist's Model, Yvonne changed hands for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,635.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Orpen konnte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The B.J. Eastwood Collection: Important Sporting and Irish Pictures wechselte die Arbeit The Artist's Model, Yvonne für GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.635,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Orpen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.158.239,93).
