Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Grace Orpen (Grace by Candlelight) by William Orpen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 56,700.00 (€ 66,571.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Grace Orpen (Grace by Candlelight) von William Orpen kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 56.700,00 (€ 66.571,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden.
