Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Mrs John Braham With Her Two Children by William Beechey was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,445.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Beechey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dashwood Children in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 608,148.15).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs John Braham With Her Two Children von William Beechey kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.445,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Beechey erzielen.
