Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of James Ramsay Cooper (1778-1804), full-length, as a boy, in a green jacket by William Beechey was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,501.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Beechey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dashwood Children in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 608,148.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of James Ramsay Cooper (1778-1804), full-length, as a boy, in a green jacket von William Beechey wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in London versteigert.
