Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of Miss Mary Payne, Later Mrs. Dolphin, Full-Length, In A White Gown And Holding A Thrush As An Eagle Swoops Toward Her, In A Wooded Landscape by William Beechey was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,745.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Beechey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dashwood Children in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 608,148.15).
