The work Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be Master Barker by William Beechey was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2014. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,919.72), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Beechey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dashwood Children in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 608,148.15).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Said To Be Master Barker von William Beechey wurde im Juli 2014 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.919,72) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Beechey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dashwood Children im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 821.000,00 (€ 608.148,15).
