A top price for Peter Paul Rubens
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Lot and his Daughters by Peter Paul Rubens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,882,500.00 (€ 53,330,119.54), 50% above the upper estimate. With this result, Lot and his Daughters is even the most expensive work of art by Peter Paul Rubens that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lot and his Daughters von Peter Paul Rubens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.882.500,00 (€ 53.330.119,54) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Lot and his Daughters sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Peter Paul Rubens, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
