Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Man on a Beach, Jamaica by Noël Coward was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,367.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Noël Coward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The View from Firefly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Man on a Beach, Jamaica von Noël Coward kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.367,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noël Coward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The View from Firefly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 60.486,69).
