Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beach with Palms by Noël Coward was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,644.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noël Coward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The View from Firefly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beach with Palms von Noël Coward wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.644,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noël Coward erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The View from Firefly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 60.486,69).
