This artwork by Noël Coward achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2015. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work The View from Firefly sold for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. This high result makes The View from Firefly the most expensive artwork by Noël Coward that we have observed at auctions so far.
