Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Jamaican Landscape by Noël Coward. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,644.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noël Coward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The View from Firefly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 60,486.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jamaican Landscape von Noël Coward zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.644,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noël Coward erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The View from Firefly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 60.486,69).
