Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work 'Regeneration'; and 'Field Preaching' 28.3cm (11 1/8in). diameter (2) by Nathaniel Dance-Holland. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 726.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathaniel Dance-Holland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thomas Assheton-Smith (1752-1828), full-length, in a red jacket in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 469,082.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Regeneration'; and 'Field Preaching' 28.3cm (11 1/8in). diameter (2) von Nathaniel Dance-Holland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 726,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nathaniel Dance-Holland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thomas Assheton-Smith (1752-1828), full-length, in a red jacket im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 469.082,94).
