Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of Peter Delmé Of Earlstoke, Half-Length, In An Embroidered Russet Coat by Nathaniel Dance-Holland for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,531.59). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathaniel Dance-Holland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thomas Assheton-Smith (1752-1828), full-length, in a red jacket in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 469,082.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of Peter Delmé Of Earlstoke, Half-Length, In An Embroidered Russet Coat von Nathaniel Dance-Holland für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.531,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nathaniel Dance-Holland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thomas Assheton-Smith (1752-1828), full-length, in a red jacket im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 469.082,94).
