Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Simone by Matthew Smith was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2017. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,470.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Connie Martin in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 252,766.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Simone von Matthew Smith kam im Juni 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.470,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Connie Martin im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 252.766,38).
