Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter Length, Seated, In Black, With Her Daughter, Holding A Turtledove by John Watson Gordon for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,703.70). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Watson Gordon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Richard Raines Savage, full-length, seated, in a black coat and white waistcoat, with two dogs, in a landscape in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 17,037.50 (€ 27,140.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter Length, Seated, In Black, With Her Daughter, Holding A Turtledove von John Watson Gordon für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.703,70) erwerben.
