Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Thought To Be Charles Lamb (1775-1834) by John Watson Gordon for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,013.19). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by John Watson Gordon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2000 by the work Portrait of Richard Raines Savage, full-length, seated, in a black coat and white waistcoat, with two dogs, in a landscape at GBP 17,037.50 (€ 27,140.59).

Im April 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Thought To Be Charles Lamb (1775-1834) von John Watson Gordon für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.013,19) erwerben.
