Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shireen by Frederic William Burton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic William Burton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 206,850.00 (€ 307,854.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shireen von Frederic William Burton kam im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 30.125,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic William Burton erzielen.
