Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work The Widow Of Wöhlm by Frederic William Burton for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,654.75). This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic William Burton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 206,850.00 (€ 307,854.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Widow Of Wöhlm von Frederic William Burton für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.654,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic William Burton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 206.850,00 (€ 307.854,76).
