The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 108,000.00 (€ 158,929.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frederic William Burton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest was auctioned for GBP 206,850.00 (€ 307,854.76).
