Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Study For Daydreams by Frederic William Burton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,503.68), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic William Burton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 206,850.00 (€ 307,854.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For Daydreams von Frederic William Burton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.503,68) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic William Burton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 206.850,00 (€ 307.854,76).
