The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,914.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic William Burton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 206,850.00 (€ 307,854.76).
