In the Important British & Irish Art auction, the work Sunday Morning sold for GBP 100,450.00 (€ 144,197.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederic William Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Child Miranda 'The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not'- Tempest, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 206,850.00 (€ 307,854.76).
